Generali Volunteers Help Make the Gala a Success!

OneSky is proud to be one of the NGO partners of The Human Safety Net, Generali’s global movement of people helping people.

Thanks to that partnership, a dedicated team of Generali volunteers recently worked at the Hong Kong Gala – our first live fundraising gala since the pandemic – helping us to raise more than HK$5m.

“Together, we will continue to work closely to train caregivers in responsive care and early education and help vulnerable children reach their full potential,” Generali Hong Kong shared via a LinkedIn post following the event, which celebrated OneSky’s 25th anniversary.

The Human Safety Net strives to unlock the potential of people living in vulnerable circumstances to help transform the lives of families and communities. The Human Safety Net programs support vulnerable families with young children (0-6 years) and integrate refugees through work and entrepreneurship.

They do so by bringing together the strengths of non-profit organizations and the private sector, in Europe, Asia and South America. OneSky feels fortunate to be counted among the NGOs they partner with.

“It’s been such a pleasure to work with Generali volunteers, and I’m so glad we could celebrate this important milestone together!” shared Susanna Lee, Executive Director of the P. C. Lee OneSky Global Centre for Early Childhood Development.

Each year, the Hong Kong Gala is made possible thanks to the efforts of event volunteers, table sponsors, auction prizes and gift sponsors, supporters, and the gala committee.

“Thanks a million to all for your enthusiasm and generosity on behalf of the children,” Lee added.
