Expanding our Programs in Mongolia
In 2018, OneSky began training caregivers for young children in Ulaanbaatar’s ger districts, home to many of Mongolia’s migrant families who often struggle to receive essential services.
Now, partnering with local kindergartens and other nonprofits, OneSky trains and supports parents and guardians of children aged 0-8 with our evidence-based Family Skills Training curriculum. In partnership with the Mongolian government, we’re expanding our program to transform more children’s lives in these low-resourced communities.
The Family Skills Training participants expressed high satisfaction with the training instructions and environment. According to the post-attendance survey, 99% reported that the trainer listened carefully to their questions and comments and responded helpfully, while 98% indicated that the class atmosphere effectively stimulated their learning.

OneSky’s Child Development Play Center
“Did you know that in every culture, all over the world, children play? The United Nations even considers play to be the right of every child.”
—Head Start | Early Childhood Learning and Knowledge Center
OneSky’s new Child Development Play Center, our Play Ger, opened in June 2024 on International Children’s Day! This indoor playground, the first of its kind in Mongolia, aims to create safe and stimulating play spaces for children in the ger districts. It’s equipped with a climbing structure, toys, books, costumes, a play kitchen, and more, all designed to support healthy brain development and build young children’s social and motor skills.
We invited caregivers who visited our Play Ger to participate in a survey to help us improve their children’s experience. A total of 18 parents and guardians provided feedback, and the results are shown below. We look forward to hosting many more families during the winter months!
